Obscurité Slipmat

Black felt vinyl slipmat featuring my "Obscurité" illustration.

This illustration is inspired by the balance of light and dark, life and death, and that the darkness can be equally as beautiful as the light.

There is a skull sitting within victorian filigree and heavy velvet drapes that hang from the edges. Two bats hang from the drapery ropes, touching on the idea of weighted scales. From behind, there are two femur bones with the runes Eihwaz and Sowulo carved into each one.

Each slipmat is created and printed by hand. They are all a little different and unique to each other.

Industry standard 16oz medium density black felt with a higher resistance against stretching and tearing. 11.75" diameter. Hand-pulled screen printed with white ink.
