Ghost of Yule Wall Hanging

Handmade wall hanging with my original illustration, "The Ghost of Yule".

Illustration is printed on a heavy canvas fabric with a "Merry Yule" message. Artwork is framed by wood panels that are stained a deep red. There is a black chain with bells and a ribbon bow to hang the piece on your wall.

Wall hanging size is approximately 12"x16" inches in size.

This Yuletide spirit wanders through the winter landscape with classic symbols of Christmastime. The holly wreath crown represents the wheel of the year, goodwill, and joyfulness.

Holly in the crown is a masculine element that is symbolic for the Holly King, representing hope, while the mistletoe growing around the reindeer antler is a female element correlating to the Winter Solstice.

Candles are a symbol of light and are a beacon to lure back the sun in the cold winter months. The bells hanging from the staff and antler are rung to chase away the dark days and bring upon warmer, brighter days after the solstice.
